The last several weeks have been both good and full. A focused effort brought the first full draft of Book 3 in my Firebird Interlude Trilogy (FIT) to completion at 23 chapters, while I also prepared a keynote address for the wonderful annual Realm Makers gathering (It was truly an honor to be asked to open the conference). At Realm Makers, I also presented two one-hour teaching sessions and met with twelve conference-goers for 1:1 mentoring sessions. Believe me, I still am exhausted.

I was especially delighted that two of my writers group co-conspirators attended Realm Makers with me! Here are Jamie Downer (adult portal fantasy), Broose Johnson (YA dinosaurs in space), and me, all three of us ready to attend the awards banquet. Here’s also a photo of the Happy Author standing next to her stack of published Firebird universe novels, all still in print thanks to Enclave Publishing and Oasis Family Media. This week, Enclave let me see some breathtaking cover art for FIT Book 2. Wow – artist Kirk DouPonce has launched another eye-grabber! I am utterly grateful.

Summing up: Book 1, FIREBREAK, is out in the wild. Book 2 now has its cover art (art to be revealed, and title to be announced, on social media soon). Copy editing is underway. Book 3 is rough drafted.

I am so grateful. Oh, and if you ask what I hope to do next –

Rest. And then give FIT #3 another coat of polish.
