Kathy’s novel Daystar was the winner of the science fiction, horror, and fantasy category in the reader’s choice Grace Awards.
The Grace Awards is a reader driven awards encouraging reader voting for excellence in faith-based fiction written in English. “The purpose of the awards is to expand the scope and readership of Inspirational fiction,” says Nike Chillemi, chair of the organization. “Readers who voted were required to give a reason why they chose a particular novel. Authors do not submit novels to the awards and they are not charged entry fees.” The Grace Awards made every effort to generate reader voting by reaching out to readers on Facebook, Twitter, and Goodreads.
